Grief/Loss

Loss is an inevitable part of life and grieving is our natural response to it. There are so many different types of loss; the death of a loved one, loss of a relationship, a miscarriage or stillbirth, a home, a pet, loss of your health, a job, graduation and loss of a role to name but a few.

Whether your loss is sudden or expected, losing someone or something that we love is one of the most painful times in our lives. Lorna can provide you with a compassionate, supportive space to talk about how you are feeling, help you feel understood and help you to understand and process your pain. We all feel the need to have our feelings heard and validated especially in times of suffering.

Identifying coping behaviours that may be helpful in bringing you comfort while you grieve and help you adjust to the changes in your life is another important step in the healing process.

Everyone grieves differently, copes differently and can honour their losses in ways that feel right to them.

While there is no right or wrong way to grieve, there are healthy ways. Getting the support that you need can be the key to your healthy grieving process so you can start to engage in life again.
